While employees will be familiar with particular topics in their training, such as data protection (GDPR), due to compliance requirements, it’s important to repeat training sessions with employees, also known as refresher training.

In this video, our Quality Assurance Specialist, Ryan, explains how refreshing the training helps keep all knowledge gaps updated.

Learning points:

  • What refresher training is
  • The benefits of refresher training
  • Using refresher training to minimise knowledge gaps

With regulations and legislation regularly updating, it’s hard to constantly keep up to date with any additional information that may have changed from last time. In this short video, our Quality Assurance Specialist, Ryan, explains how regularly refreshing training gives employees a chance to review any fundamental differences.

Learning points:

  • Using refresher training to keep updated with regulations and legislation
  • The importance of refresher training
  • How refresher training can bridge knowledge gaps

Learning and development at work are no longer just classroom-based.

Blended learning is an approach to learning that incorporates different types of learning. In this video, our Client Relationship Manager, Richard explains how this method supports different learning styles.

When implemented successfully, blended learning can increase employee confidence; improve flexibility; boost employee morale, and encourage collaboration.

Learning points:

  • What blended learning is
  • Using blended learning to support different learning styles
  • The benefits of using blended learning

Simply giving users a text to read and answering questions will cause disengagement in learning and development at work. In this video, our Client Relationship Manager, Richard, highlights how with immersive eLearning, employees are at the centre of the story.

It uses different methods, for example, interactive videos with questions, so employees are more likely to be engaged as they feel challenged. With improved employee engagement, users leave the training session feeling better equipped on the topic area.

Learning points:

  • What immersive eLearning is
  • How it improves employee comprehension of the training topic
  • How immersive eLearning supports employee engagement

Scenario-led learning is a different approach to learning and development.

In this video, our Client Relationship Manager, Richard, explains how it challenges the user with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, weaving storylines into visual environments. It uses interactive scenarios to support active learning strategies, challenging the user to think about the content they consumed, analyse the situation and put it into practice.

This approach increases employee engagement while learning in a safe environment that helps to build their confidence.

Learning points:

  • What scenario led learning is
  • How it challenges the user with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Using scenario led learning to encourage independent thinking

Microlearning is a short, focused method used in eLearning.

In this video, our Client Relationship Manager, Richard, explain how the training session is compact, meaning all the content is highly relevant to the topic. With these short snippets of eLearning, it boosts learner engagement and confidence, allowing employees to squeeze in microlearning sessions between work tasks.

Learning points:

  • What microlearning is
  • Why microlearning is effective
  • Allow users to feel accomplished by completing the training quickly

Adaptive learning is a learner-first approach to training.

In this video, our Learning Design Director, Stacey walks us through the benefits of using adaptive learning. Before launching into a training session, employees do an upfront assessment on the topic area. Using artificial intelligence, the learning tailors itself towards the user’s knowledge gaps and only presents the content which is relevant to what the user needs to learn. The user sees questions based on that specific training and not the entire topic area (if they knew the basics).

  • What adaptive learning is
  • The benefits of using adaptive learning
  • How adaptive learning promotes employee engagement
