Socio-Economic Wellbeing
The importance of implementing inclusive business practices for both applicants and employees of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Description
Research shows that an organisation that promotes diversity and inclusion not only enables its employees to reach their full potential, but also can better meet the needs of a diverse base of customers and service users. While progress has been made in recognising the importance of inclusion regarding factors such as ethnicity and gender, there is still room to improve our understanding of the impact of one of the most intersectional aspects of an individual's background—their socio-economic status. This 10-minute course covers the importance of implementing inclusive business practices for both applicants and employees of diverse socio-economic backgrounds and describes what steps your organisation can take to do so.
