Cultural awareness is an essential part of working effectively with others. Our experiences and environment shape how we communicate, behave, and interpret situations, but they can also lead us to make assumptions about others.

This course explores how culture influences everyday behaviour at work, where misunderstandings can arise, and how to respond in a way that is respectful and inclusive. It looks at both visible differences, and less visible ones, including communication styles, values, and expectations. It explores ways to create an open mindset so that people feel comfortable sharing their cultural perspective, creating an inclusive working environment.

By building awareness and challenging assumptions, the course helps create workplaces where people feel respected, included, and able to contribute.
