Inappropriate use, whether intentional or unintentional, could leave the organisation vulnerable to data breaches, cyberattacks, reputational damage, productivity loss, and financial, civil and criminal penalties. Employees could be subject to disciplinary action, as well as financial and legal penalties for unacceptable use.
