Securities Law: Know Your Trade
This course will help organisations implement procedures to mitigate against the risk of an insider trading breach.
Description
Despite several federal securities laws stretching back to the 1930's, insider trading, market manipulation and fraud still occurs and can have a serious negative impact on a business as well as the wider economy. The Securities and Exchange Commission regularly brings enforcement actions against businesses and individuals who engage in illegal practices, including levying substantial fines, criminal convictions and even prison time.
This course drops users into an immersive set of interactive scenarios to test their understanding, ability and knowledge to uncover breaches of securities law in their everyday working life. Users face a set of realistic characters and scenarios from all walks of life, some of whom may be trying to engage in illegal practices. It is up to users to assess the risk of each situation and decide on the best course of action based on company procedures and the law.
