VinciWorks has added a new module to its data protection course, Data Protection: Privacy at Work. The new module on subject access requests explains what a subject access request is and how to respond to one. The module is the latest addition to the course, following the global data protection guide that was recently added.
What is a subject access request?
Data subjects are entitled to find out what personal data is held about them by an organisation, why the organisation is holding it and who else knows the information. The process of finding this out is known as a subject access request, or SAR. The new module includes subject access requests templates and guidance of individuals’ rights, data portability and examples of exemptions where the organisation may not have to respond to the subject access request.
