Astute LXP March 2025 update: Enhancing performance and user experience

The latest Astute LXP update (V3.3.1) introduces key improvements to performance and user experience. Our focus this month has been on improving system performance, refining user experience, and expanding integration capabilities.

Here’s what’s new in the March 2025 release.

Enhancements

Learner Deactivation Control

Organisations using a learner user sync can now prevent learners from being automatically deactivated. This ensures that training records remain intact and that users can continue accessing their courses without interruption.

Enrolment Rule Protection

To prevent accidental disruptions, administrators will now see a warning message when attempting to delete an additional field that is actively being used in an enrolment rule.

Performance Improvements

Improved Evidence Upload Process

The visuals learners see when uploading their own training evidence have been improved, making it clearer when a file has been successfully uploaded.

Refined Course Editing Experience

The Edit Course page has been streamlined by removing unnecessary options for certain course types, creating a simpler and more intuitive editing process.

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected spelling errors on the Courses page.
  • Fixed an issue with the Quick Quiz resit button and improved the UI to make it clearer when learners need to retake a quiz.

GDPR added a significant compliance burden on DPOs and data processors. Data breaches must be reported to the authorities within 72 hours, each new data processing activity needs to be documented and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) must be carried out for processing that is likely to result in a high risk to individuals. Penalties for breaching GDPR can reach into the tens of millions of Euros.
