As the 1 August 2025 deadline for Condition E6 compliance approaches, learning providers across the UK are under pressure to overhaul their approach to harassment and sexual misconduct. In our June 4 webinar, Preparing for E6: Managing Harassment and Sexual Harassment Compliance in Higher Education, VinciWorks experts unpacked the regulatory requirements, shared best practice for training, and introduced powerful tools to support implementation, particularly in the area of reporting.
What is Condition E6?
Condition E6 is a mandatory requirement for all higher education providers registered with the Office for Students (OfS). It imposes strict obligations to prevent and respond to harassment and sexual misconduct affecting students. E6 mandates the publication of a single comprehensive source of information (CSI), delivery of staff and student training, provision of support services, and the deployment of clear, accessible reporting mechanisms.
Failure to meet these standards carries serious consequences. As our panel highlighted, the OfS has shown it’s prepared to impose heavy penalties, including financial sanctions and even deregistration, for non-compliance.
The role of training
The webinar showcased VinciWorks’ new suite of E6-aligned training courses, including a flagship interactive module built on conversational learning. This format uses video, reflective questions, and real-life scenarios to encourage empathy, deepen understanding, and prompt behaviour change. Separate pathways for staff and students ensure that training is relevant and appropriately pitched.
Why reporting matters – and how Omnitrack can help
Beyond training, E6 places a strong emphasis on meaningful reporting and proactive data use. Universities must offer students multiple routes to report incidents, including anonymous options, and must be able to demonstrate that they are taking “significant and credible” steps based on that data.
This is where VinciWorks’ Omnitrack reporting tool plays a crucial role.
Omnitrack for E6: Turning data into action
Omnitrack can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of E6 surveys for universities by streamlining data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
With its customizable survey templates and automated distribution features, universities can easily deploy E6 surveys to large student populations. The platform emphasizes anonymous reporting, ensuring that students can provide honest and constructive feedback without fear of identification.
Omnitrack’s robust analytics tools enable administrators to quickly identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement in relation to harassment and sexual misconduct.
Omnitrack supports secure, centralised data storage, making it easier to track longitudinal changes and generate detailed reports for accreditation and internal quality assurance purposes.
