Further improvements across Astute
Our latest Astute update focuses on making everyday administration smoother, clearer and easier to manage.
A large part of this release builds on the recent launch of Instructor-Led Training, with improvements to how ILT classes appear to learners, how administrators manage approvals, how ILT activities are selected in Enrolment Events, and how supporting resources can be shared through trigger emails.
We have also made updates across Email Management and Learner Management, helping administrators work more confidently.
Together, these changes are designed to reduce friction, improve clarity and support a more consistent experience across the platform.
Instructor-Led Training improvements
Instructor-Led Training continues to evolve following its wider availability for Astute Premier clients.
This update includes a number of improvements to help administrators manage ILT more easily and give learners a clearer view of available training.
With this release:
- Available ILT classes now display more clearly on the learner home page
- ILT resources can now be added to trigger emails using the #ILTResourceLinks# merge field
- Pending approvals on the ILT Training Schedule are now easier to see, including a clearer count of how many approvals are waiting
- ILT is now available as a filterable option when adding activities to Enrolment Events
- Course modules are now protected from editing once a class has been scheduled or completed, helping keep both upcoming sessions and existing completion records consistent
- Administrators can now view archived courses and unarchive them when needed
These updates help make ILT easier to manage as part of wider training programmes, while also protecting scheduled and completed training from unintended changes, whether sessions are classroom-based, virtual or hybrid.
Easier email setup
We have tidied up the mail merge fields used in Trigger and Chaser emails.
This makes it easier for administrators to find and use the right fields when building email templates, helping keep learner communications clear and consistent.
Learner Management refinements
This update also includes small but useful improvements to Learner Management.
Mandatory Department and Job Title fields on the Add Learner form are now marked more clearly, helping administrators complete learner records correctly.
Fixes and improvements
This release also includes a number of fixes across Instructor-Led Training and Enrolment Events:
- ILT module options will no longer appear twice when scheduling a class
- Learners added to an attendance register can now be marked as expected
- Learners can now be enrolled on more than one ILT course at a time
- Copying a class from the past no longer locks the settings on the new class
- The Assign Classes step no longer appears in the Enrolment Event wizard when no learners have been added at that stage
- Archived ILT courses no longer appear on the learner home page
- ILT classes with no maximum attendee limit now correctly behave as having no maximum, rather than being treated as having a maximum of 0
- Deleted modules no longer appear in the module selection when scheduling a class
