Learner exports can be reimported with their changes quicker. Signing in is easier too, especially for screen readers.
You’ll also notice extra filter options on the Learners page, progress messages on LXP exports, and fixes across the Visual Dashboard, risk assessments and enrolment events.
Importing and exporting learners
Export Learners on the Learners page now gives you a file in exactly the same layout as the import template. Make your changes, upload it with Import Learners, and only what you’ve changed is updated, so a bulk change can start from what’s already in Astute rather than a blank template.
The Learner Active column now understands Yes and No, or Active and Inactive, as well as Y and N, so many HR files work as they are. If an import is stopped partway, one line now tells you how many rows weren’t reached, and uploading the same file again finishes the job.

Signing in
Your browser now offers your saved login as soon as you click the username box, not just the password box.
Two-factor authentication works much better with a keyboard or screen reader. The code box is ready to type into when it opens, Enter submits the code, a wrong code is announced, and you can paste a code in. If you can’t scan the QR code when setting it up, there’s now a key you can type into your authenticator app instead.
After resetting a password, you’re now taken to the login page to sign in with the new password instead of being logged in automatically.
Learners page
You can filter learners by Manager, HR Rep and Language again, and now by when they last logged in, which makes it quick to find who hasn’t been in for a while.
Visual Dashboard
Clicking into a chart to see the learners behind it now works on more widgets, including Completions by Events, Learners Enrolled per Job Title and the Percentage Completion widgets. Activity Breakdown by Status also loads when only events are picked.
Risk assessments
Ticking Automatically escalate this concern on an answer now raises the concern on the Risk Task List by itself, and learners are asked for a note where one is needed. Answers set to skip to a named section now take the learner straight there.
LXP Reporting
Export all and Export as now show a Preparing your export message while your file is built, so it’s clear something is happening and a second click doesn’t start a second export.
Enrolment events
Archive and Expire were easy to mix up, so archiving an event is now called hiding it. On the Enrolment Events page, Hide replaces Archive and Unhide replaces Unarchive. A hidden event comes off your list and takes no new learners, and its learners aren’t re-enrolled, while anyone already on it keeps their activities. To close an event for everyone, expire it instead by setting an end date in the event details.
Bug fixes
- Re-enrolment events no longer show activities as pending changes before anyone is due to re-enrol on them.
- Bulk Select on an enrolment event now leaves out inactive learners and tells you which ones.
- Language versions of a certificate now save, and the Narrow by section on the Visual Dashboard reads properly in the Dark Astute theme.
- The View report tooltip in LXP Reporting no longer stays on screen after you click it.
