MyStory directly applies the lessons of the #MeToo movement to the training sphere through a set of hard-hitting stories that bring to life the real impact of harassment and bullying at work. Drawing the Learners in, the compelling narratives are accompanied by information surrounding the unwanted behaviors. Guidance is then shared on how to handle such situations, both as a bystander and someone experiencing them first-hand. Learners are able to select their state and take the most relevant training depending on their jurisdiction, with the course covering both federal and local anti-harassment law. The training includes four main sections: Experience, Laws and Policies, Explore and Seek help. An optional “Share” section allows Learners to anonymously and securely submit their personal story.
In Experience, users are presented with striking accounts of bullying, harassment and sexual assault in the workplace. The stories are based on real events experienced by people every day.
At the beginning of the course, users are asked to select their state/s. This ensures that in the Laws and Policies section, users only learn the regulations most relevant to their jurisdiction.
The Explore feature allows users to scroll through and explore the tweets, articles and videos which launched the #MeToo movement and helped it spread across the world.
In Seek help, users are provided with the guidance and resources to report inappropriate behavior. Any information entered here can be sent automatically to the administrator.
