By understanding your legal obligations under the model WHS laws (or local laws such as Victoria’s OHS Act), you can help prevent accidents, injuries and illness in the workplace.

- Understand the purpose of Australia’s model WHS laws and how they aim to prevent workplace harm
- Identify key duties under the WHS Act, including those of PCBUs, officers and workers
- Recognise your rights as a worker under WHS legislation
- Understand the role of state and territory regulators in enforcing health and safety law
