This course helps organisations implement procedures to mitigate against the risk of an FCPA breach.
Description
The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) is a key piece of law that organisations must comply with. Understanding the law will help employees comply with its provisions. Failure to comply can result in criminal and civil penalties against companies as well as individual employees. People have been fined and even sentenced to significant prison time for violating the FCPA.
As well as being illegal, bribery can bring an organization into disrepute and tarnish its brand and image. It corrupts the industry and undermines customers. Employees have a responsibility to ensure they understand the law, their organization's internal procedures, and know how to spot suspicious behaviors and red flags.
Users face a set of realistic characters and scenarios from all walks of life, some of whom may be trying to offer, or ask for, a bribe. It is up to users to assess the risk of each situation and decide on the best course of action based on company procedures and the law. The course is fully compliant with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
