About the experts

He was previously an in-house lawyer and a solicitor in private practice. Gary has hosted many webinars and workshops for VinciWorks on a wide range of risk and compliance topics including GDPR and the SRA’s new approach to ongoing learning.
Policy Associate Jatinderpal Loyal joined the SRA’s regulatory policy team in 2012, leading the SRA’s approach to monitoring and enforcing the ban on referral fees in personal injury. Jatinderpal is the lead on the SRA’s regulation of financial services, the SRA Accounts Rules and Client Protection arrangements. He works closely with law firms and compliance advisers, the Ministry of Justice, the Financial Conduct Authority, and other legal regulators as the SRA progresses the implementation of the new Standards and Regulations. Jatinderpal is keen to engage with those who are using technology and AI to help deliver legal services.
Policy Associate Richard Silver joined the SRA’s regulatory policy team in 2014. He works across a number of areas of policy, including immigration and asylum services, consumer experiences in conveyancing, and information transparency. Through his work, he manages relationships with a range of stakeholders, including other regulators and law firms, and he is currently supporting the delivery of the SRA’s quality indicators pilot. This project is bringing together lawyers, consumers and comparison websites and is continuing throughout 2021.
