This month’s update focuses on making enrolments and re-enrolments clearer and more predictable for administrators, alongside a set of targeted fixes across reporting, compliance, and enrolment workflows.
We’ve improved how Astute handles learners affected by re-enrolment schedules or previous LMS records, giving admins better visibility into why someone isn’t enrolling yet — and clearer options on what to do next.
Clearer enrolment behaviour when dates already exist
When enrolling learners onto an event, Astute will now notify administrators if a learner is already scheduled for enrolment at a future date — either due to a re-enrolment rule or a mapped previous LMS record.
Admins can then choose to:
- Keep the existing scheduled enrolment date, or
- Enrol the learner earlier if required
This helps prevent confusion, avoids accidental duplicate enrolments, and makes it much clearer how enrolment timing is being determined.
More control when using enrolment rules with previous LMS records
A new option has been added to enrolment rules, allowing events to enrol learners before the expiry of any mapped previous LMS records.
This gives organisations more flexibility when transitioning learners between systems or aligning historical records with new training requirements.
Small usability improvements
- A loading indicator has been added when copying courses, providing clearer feedback during the process
- Instructions within re-enrolment settings have been clarified to make setup easier and reduce misconfiguration
Reporting and compliance fixes
Several fixes have been made to improve reliability and accuracy across reporting:
- Editing filters in the LXP Report Builder no longer clears previously selected options
- Reports now build correctly when titles contain apostrophes
- Additional Fields not marked as “Include in Reports” no longer appear in the Report Builder
- Compliance reporting now correctly displays bespoke course titles
Re-enrolment and enrolment rule fixes
- Enrolment rules using OR logic now enrol learners correctly
- Target Completion Dates now copy correctly during re-enrolment
- Re-enrolment event titles now display the correct date format (configurable via Event Details)
- Learners with previous LMS records will no longer be enrolled early onto events that haven’t started yet
