Harassment and Sexual Misconduct: A Dialogue on the OfS Guidance (Students)
Description
In this conversational learning course, learners are placed at the centre of the complex and sensitive issues surrounding harassment and sexual misconduct in higher education. Through realistic, thought-provoking drama scenarios and expert insights, learners explore the boundaries of acceptable behaviour both on and off campus, online and in person. The interactive format provides space to reflect on what consent looks like in practice, consider how to respond as an active bystander, and navigate the balance between freedom of speech and protection from harm.
Learners are encouraged to examine assumptions, test responses to nuanced situations, and engage meaningfully with their rights and responsibilities under the OfS's Condition E6 — all within a psychologically safe learning environment that turns passive training into active, practical engagement.
Please note that some scenarios involve depictions of harassment and sexual misconduct, which some learners may find distressing.>
