We are thrilled to announce the release of Astute LXP Version 3.2.0! This update brings significant enhancements to our existing features alongside the introduction of our brand-new Videos feature.

New Features

1. Videos

Astute Premier now supports direct uploads of video content, allowing you to diversify the training formats available on your platform. With this new feature, you can:

  • Upload Video Content Directly: Easily add MP4 files or import links from YouTube to enrich your course offerings.
  • Enrol Learners with Ease: Assign learners to video content like any other activity. Track and report their completions seamlessly within Astute.
  • Expand Your Training Options: Incorporate a broader array of training formats into your LMS, enhancing the learning experience.

An in-depth guide on creating and enrolling your learners on to videos can be found here.

2. Email Management

  • Trigger and Chaser emails now show on the same page with an easy-to-read table for each email type.
  • A simple-to-use creation and edit wizard for Triggers and Chasers has also been added, with more options and flexibility to match complex requirements.
  • Learners’ certificates can now be attached to trigger emails related to passing a course.

Enhancements

1. Programmes of Work

We’ve made significant updates to our Programmes of Work feature for Astute Premier customers, offering even more flexibility and control to tailor your learners’ journey.

The main feature updates include:

  • Streamlined Creation Process: Our new simplified wizard reduces setup time and complexity.
  • Advanced Unlocking Features: Expanded options for activity unlocking, including time delays for a dynamic learning pace.
  • Enhanced Learner Visibility: Learners now have a clearer view of their progress and requirements for advancement.

An in-depth guide on creating these programmes can be found here.

2. Learner Certificates

All learner certificates are now visible, not just those in currently active enrolment events.

3. My Progress Page

Enrolment status for courses is now shown on the Courses table, improving visibility for learners.

4. Training Records – CSV Importer

An error message and reason have been added if the CSV upload fails, providing better troubleshooting.

5. Enrolment Rules

  • A new rule has been added as an option that lets you specify the learner’s enrolment based on the number of days since their start date.
  • A new checkbox allows Astute to automatically unenroll learners who no longer match the rules.

6. Re-enrolment Activities

When selecting activities for re-enrolment within an event, an option has been added to rename the new event.

7. Learner Home Hero Image

A new image and message will appear if a learner has no training to complete.

8. LXP Reporting

Risk Assessment V3 completion data has been added as a dataset within the LXP report builder.

Bug Fixes

When a learner self-enrols on a course and then unenroll, the course image will now appear instead of the default space-saver image.

Performance Improvements

  • The error message on the Learners page when assigning an unassignable manager has been updated for clarity.
  • The “My Training Records” option has been removed, and records are now stored in a tab on the My Progress page.
  • The checkbox logic for Enrolment Events has been updated to OR instead of AND, reducing the number of checkboxes needed to filter events.

GDPR added a significant compliance burden on DPOs and data processors. Data breaches must be reported to the authorities within 72 hours, each new data processing activity needs to be documented and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) must be carried out for processing that is likely to result in a high risk to individuals. Penalties for breaching GDPR can reach into the tens of millions of Euros.
